Pop opera prodigy Jackie Evancho stopped by the WSJ Cafe to sing and talk about her new album “Heavenly Christmas,” her new movie with Robert Redford and her (successful) efforts to not act like a diva.
When asked what she does to make sure she doesn’t go off-track like so many other child stars, Evancho said that she’s very careful to check herself when she’s acting bossy.
“I know that I’m definitely not a big big snob, and I know that at the times that I am a diva I know I’m being a diva,” the 11-year-old Evancho said. “It’s kind of annoying to know that you are. Because it’s a person I do not want to be. So I’m trying my best not to become a jerk.”
